Krista has always been intrigued by the way the body moves, its capacity to heal, and the nuances of the mind/body/spirit connection. This naturally attracted her to yoga, as it allows freedom of movement and promotes stillness of the mind. When she discovered that yoga can link the physical and spiritual energies to the breath, she fell in love with it, and with the inner peace it brought to her life. Always on a quest to learn, Krista has completed three formal Yoga Teacher Trainings so far, is certified to teach Kids’ Yoki Yoga, and is the mom of a laid-back and talented 10-year old percussionist named Blake. As a licensed massage therapist and professional modern dancer, she’s got a multi-layered understanding of alignment, and freely shares it with her students in her Slow Gentle Flow and Vinyasa classes. Krista strongly believes that by exercising the power of letting go, we can all connect to the light that shines within us. In addition to teaching at the studio, Krista performs with the Atma YogaDance Co., and leads the free yoga class in Peacock Park on Thursdays at 6pm, weather permitting!
