Dharma Yoga Studio is a beautiful, homegrown yoga school in the heart of Miami’s historic Coconut Grove that began as a mere dream of two local yoga teachers, both women. We opened our doors in January of 2010 with just a dozen classes a week, and we've become a quaint little enclave, celebrated for many things besides our talented team of 20 teachers. The warmth and passion which kindled our beginnings can be felt the moment you step inside. Not only do we offer 38 classes a week at our boutique studio on lively Commodore Plaza, we also host three weekly outdoor classes, which are free to the public, and held under the swaying palms off the bay in Peacock Park. Everyone is welcome: we offer classes for students of all ages and backgrounds, and every weekend we host compelling events including classes with live music (Dharma After Dark) on select evenings. Our progressive schedule includes classes that range from the traditional to the eclectic, from challenging, fast-paced yoga to therapeutic and gentle-stretchy yoga, from pre-natal and “Baby & Me” classes to yoga for athletes. We invite the community at large to experience the far-reaching powers of yoga, by offering weekly classes to support a different charity each month, and by hosting free “chair yoga” classes twice a week, for seniors and the mobility-impaired. Dharma Studio is the Grove’s friendly neighborhood yoga sanctuary, where you are always home.
